Technical data

For 7N and 3.6N - BS EN 459.1 (HL 3.5)

Specifically designed to provide today’s builder with a mortar that does not develop a strength above the one of the masonry units. Elasticity, good water retention, setting time, low capillarity, excellent breathability are the other notable properties of mortars made with Tradeco®. Its low density produces a high yield.

Suitable for
Breathable solutions, renders, bedding, pointing, finishing and for saltpeter treatment. Also suitable for hemp plasters, for brick construction and low density masonry. Before starting, always try on a small test area.

Dosages

1) 7 N/mm2 masonry or above
Building mortar: 1 bag + 80 litres of sand
Stipple coats on renders (cast on or sprayed on): 1 bag + 70 litres of well graded sharp sand 0-3mm
Renders/plaster base coat
Manual application: 1 bag + 90 litres of well graded sharp sand
Spray application: 1 bag + 80 litres of well graded sand

2) 3.6N masonry units
Building mortar 1 bag + 100 litres of well graded sand
Water addition: 24 litres per bag of 25 kg binder with dry sand. This can vary depending on moisture of site sands

Mixing
Up to 5 minutes in a conventional drum mixer.

Application
Application by spray gun is possible. Please consult us.

Working temperatures
Not below 8oC or above 30oC. Make sure that high suction materials are thoroughly dampened before application. Avoid rapid drying due to high temperatures or strong winds by curing with a light water mist several times a day if necessary. See Protecting Lime Mortar.
